FAQ
Frequently asked questions
- The Deep Matt collection includes four main types of products:
- Laminated board DEEP MATT P2
- HPL laminate DEEP MATT
- Lacquered HDF board DEEP MATT
- Yes, the Deep Matt surface is anti-fingerprint. A special coating prevents fingerprints from forming, so the board is easy to keep clean and retains its aesthetic appearance, even with intensive use.
- This does not apply to lacquered HDF boards with a Deep Matt finish.
- Deep Matt P2 laminated boards are designed for the production of furniture and interior furnishings. They can be used to create kitchen fronts, wardrobe fronts, tables, built-in furniture and wall panels.
- It is recommended for applications requiring very high scratch resistance, such as 'commercial use', as well as for furniture edges, fronts, wall panels and interior design elements. Thanks to its chemical resistance, it can be used in kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms, dining rooms, restaurants, healthcare facilities and hospitals. It is particularly recommended for high-intensity commercial surfaces.
- It is intended for indoor use in dry conditions. It is ideal for use as furniture back panels, drawer bottoms, and decorative interior elements.
- Yes, they offer high scratch resistance. HPL laminate Deep Matt is highly resistant to scratches and micro-scratches, while lacquered HDF Deep Matt boards have an R2 surface, offering increased abrasion resistance.
- We recommend using non-abrasive microfibre cloths, warm water (up to 40°C) and a spray degreaser designed for kitchen surfaces, or a special UNIKA Super Matt Laminate Cleaner, to clean HPL laminate Deep Matt. Avoid abrasive liquids, solid materials, steel wool, abrasive sponges, and cleaning agents with a low or high pH. HPL laminate Deep Matt has self-regenerating properties in the event of micro-scratches.
- The Deep Matt collection is complementary, which means that each of the 10 UNI decors is available on four different substrates (P2 laminated board, HPL laminate, lacquered HDF board). This allows for complete consistency in interior design, e.g. by using the same decor on fronts (laminated board), wall units (HPL laminate) and internal furniture elements (lacquered HDF).
- The Deep Matt collection offers 10 UNI decors in earth tones, which are taken from the Comfort Collection.
